BVI Sample One Week Itinerary
Day 1
After arriving on Tortola via ferry, private water taxi, or plane, you will meet make your way to Yolo II, where you will be met by the crew and welcomed aboard. After lunch on board and the safety briefing, we sail to a nearby anchorage where you spend the night at anchor where sunsets never disappoint. Have your first swim and maybe a paddleboard or kayak. Captain Mark will serve his signature cocktail and snacks, while you relax in comfort on the flybridge or front cockpit with views of the spectacular islands. Before a delicious dinner by Tracey, a map is produced, and you can discuss preferences on where you would like to spend more time. Some guests prefer quiet anchorages with water-sport activities or active beach bars and island tours. Mark will explain what to expect on your unforgettable vacation. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, all your dreams will come true on Yolo.
Day 2
Wake up early or sleep in, breakfast will be waiting for you in the cockpit. After an early morning swim or snorkel. Next we head over to Privateers Bay on Norman Island in time for lunch. This island made famous in R.L. Stevenson’s “Treasure Island” and looking at the caves today, one cannot help but be swept back in time to the days of pirates and privateers. Once again, this area allows us to indulge any of our younger guests with a real private treasure hunt. The Pirate’s Bight restaurant/bar with a beautiful beach also celebrate a happy hour, as well as the famous Willy-T boat bar.
Day 3
Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast, enjoy a snorkel at the stunning Indians, 5 minutes from The Bight. This spot has barely changed and still offers a host of marine life, you may see beautiful fish and even a turtle or two. Clean masks, snorkels and fins are handed to the guests with optional pool noodles for those less comfortable in the water. We have an underwater camera to capture your memories. Next we head to Great Harbour or Little harbour on Peter Island, a pristine nook where we anchor the yacht stern to rocks ashore, offering a private swimming pool off the back. Here the water is crystal clear and further snorkelling along the bay after lunch. Wonderful sunset and BBQ on the back of the boat, perfect way to end an evening in the Caribbean.
Day 4
After breakfast we hoist up the sails and head up to Virgin Gorda while navigation the Sir Francis Drake channel. We pick up a mooring ball at the Cooper Island Beach club for lunch. Snorkelling you might find a seahorse and a turtle, then we sail to the famous Baths, a series of gigantic granite boulders that form caves. Guests swim ashore to the beach and work their way through rocky trail which ends with a swim at Devil’s Bay beach before heading back to the yacht in the tender. Next stop Mountain Point with its beautiful reefs. Perfect to look back at the whole of the BVI’s. Wonderful nights sky with beautiful stars. Enjoy fish watching with the underwater lights.
Day 5
We head over to the Dogs, a series of tiny rocky outcrops for great snorkelling after breakfast. It is weather dependent, so great if there is a weather window. Dive companies can rendezvous with us if you are a diver. Then we head up to Eustatia Sound, where we will anchor for lunch, stay and explore the sound or decide if you want to sail across on a 2 hour sail to Anegada, the low lying coral atoll famous for its pristine beaches, pink flamingos and lobster. Dinner ashore is highly recommended. Dance the night away with your toes in the sand at one of the local bars or onboard!!!
Day 6
Breakfast aboard, followed by a downwind sail to Guana Island where we will have lunch. Then on to Sandy Spit, Jos Van Dyke. This is a tiny sandy cay off Green Cay, a wonderful place to spend the rest of the day paddle boarding and walking on the beach or walk to the bubbling pools for a jacuzzi off Diamond Cay. Spend the night at one of the beautiful bays.
Day 7
After breakfast sail to the Soggy Dollar Bar at White Bay, famous for their painkillers. Have lunch and a walk on the beach, spend a couple of hours, then head back to St John in USVI for the night.
Day 8
Breakfast at anchor and enjoy last swims in the tropical waters, leaving the bay around 10.00am and making our way to the Marina. It’s now time to start your travels back home and start planning your next adventure aboard Yolo ii. This is when we say our goodbyes, having made good friends and sharing a wonderful week together. Sample One Week Itinerary
Day 1
Join Yolo in Fort Louis Marina, Marigot at midday after the safety briefing, lunch served with wonderful fresh-baked baguettes and pastries its time to sail to Grand Case, anchor for the evening. The historic and picturesque fishing village is home to quaint West Indian buildings, art galleries boutiques and restaurants. Take the tender to snorkel at the marine park Rocher Creole.
Captains cocktails followed by dinner onboard.
Day 2 – Anguilla
After breakfast, set sail to Anguilla. This pristine island boasts charming villages, stunning stretches of white powdery beaches. Anchor in Road Bay – Sandy ground to clear in and obtain a cruising permit if you would like to spend more time cruising around the marine park. Spend the night at anchor in Road Bay after snorkelling, walking on the beach, paddle boarding and kayaking. Hear the music from the local bars ashore while you enjoy your cocktails and dinner.
Day 3 – Tintamarre
After early breakfast a long sail to Tintamarre on the French side of St Maarten, hopefully catch a fish on the way. Have lunch, swim in the aquamarine waters looking for turtles and rays. There are the remains of an old small airstrip used during the war if you choose to explore. A short late afternoon sail to Green Cay for the night.
Day 4 – ille de la Fourche
Sail to Ille de la Fourche and anchor in time for lunch. Herds of wild goats are the only inhabitants you will see on the cactus covered rocky hills of this island. Have an afternoon snorkel or climb to the top of one of Fouche’s five peaks. Panoramic view of the leeward islands as the sun sets on another beautiful day in paradise. In the springtime, you may be lucky to see humpback whales as they migrate south.
Day 5 – St Barths
A short sail south will take you into the French island of St Barts. Anchor at Gustavia Harbour, a quaint town with Swedish links. Snorkel the wreck of the motor yacht ‘Nonstop which sank in a storm. Step ashore, browse the exclusive boutiques, or rent a car and see the island. Visit one of the many bars in the harbour, the famous Le Select bar, the Jimmy Buffet Song Cheeseburger in Paradise is about the bar. Always a wonderful sunset to enjoy with your cocktail on deck followed by dinner and not forgetting the cognac and music.
Day 6 – Colombier
After breakfast head around the corner to Anse de Colombier, a splendid beach. Maybe see a dolphin or two, snorkel, kayak, time to relax and read a book and enjoy being in the Caribbean. Spend the night watching the stars shine and enjoying being at anchor on this very romantic island.
Day 7 – Philipsburg
After breakfast and an early morning swim, we set sail for Philipsburg St Maarten to go ashore and do some shopping, after lunch sail on to Simpson Bay where we will spend your last night. Visit Buccaneer Beach Bar for a cocktail or two.
Day 8
Last sail back to Marigot, one last dip before packing, saying goodbyes and a taxi will take you to the airport or if you are staying longer to the hotel where you are staying.

Sample One Week Itinerary
Day 1
We will organise a taxi to pick you up at the airport to transport you to where we are moored in Young Island. Depending on your time of arrival we will either spend the night at anchor where you can get the sense of time slipping away, just relax and enjoy while we spoil you with the different Captains cocktails and Chefs specials of the day with the abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables and fish from the markets in St Vincent or Sail across to Bequia where you can dive directly under the boat and find all sorts of wonderful sea life. Go ashore to the little village to explore and then back for dinner on board.
Day 2 – Beguia to Mustique
Mustique is a private island, home to the rich and famous. A perfect anchorage to enjoy all the water toys onboard Yolo. Go ashore to Basil’s Bar, walk along and see all the empty conch shells that’s have made their own breakwater alongside the fish market. Spend the night beneath the stars.
Day 3 – Mustique to Tobago Cays
After breakfast and a picturesque and smooth cruise South, you will arrive at the five-island archipelago of the Tobago Cays. This is where Pirates of the Caribbean and Dead Man’s chest were filmed. Tobago Cays Marine Park with an extensive coral reef where you will snorkel alongside so many turtles. Take a walk up the many paths looking for iguanas nestled among the palm trees. Dinner onboard or lobster BBQ on the beach.
Day 4 – Tobago Cays to Mayreau
Accessible only by yacht, Mayreau is the epitome of tranquillity and a must-see destination.
Stunning views across the Tobago Cays, make the short walk up the hill to the tiny village of Old Wall and take some pictures. Spend the day enjoying this small island paradise.
Day 5 – Mayreau to Union Island
After breakfast and a swim, we set sail for Union Island for you to go ashore and do a little shopping and then clear out of the Grenadines into Grenada – the spice of the Caribbean and sail to Carriacou
Day 6 – Carriacou
Captain Mark will compete immigration formalities while you enjoy breakfast. Carriacou remains refreshingly authentic and undeveloped. We spend the day exploring the island.
Day 7 – Carriacou to Grenada
We will leave early in the morning as it’s a long sail down to Grenada, once there if there is time to do a snorkel in the underwater park, then anchor of the capital St George’s for the night. Special last night dinner onboard.
Day 8 – Grenada
After a final breakfast on deck, your week has come to an end and we must say goodbye after making new friends. Your Captain will arrange transport for you to be transferred to Grenada’s international airport, where you can take flights to the US, Europe and other Caribbean Nations.
NOTE: This trip can be done either way (North to South or South to North), or just choose to immerse yourself in one country.
